Workplace Alcohol and other Drug Testing

Alcohol and other Drug Services personnel are trained in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and CASR 99. We have partnered with other testing agencies and can provide broad coverage for workplace alcohol and other drug testing programs.

All confirmatory testing is carried out by accreditated pathology laboratories under contract and strict chain of custody procedures.

Pre-deployment Alcohol and other Drug Testing

Pre-deployment testing services are available at all of our testing locations. We conduct an initial screening test using either an oral fluid or urine sample as specified by the client. Should a non-negative result be obtained from the screening the sample will be forwarded to the laboratory for GS/MS confirmatory testing.

Random Testing

Alcohol and other Drug Services can conduct random alcohol and other drug testing programs Australia wide. Random testing can be scaled to meet your organisational requirements and carried out using oral fluid or urine sampling.

Reasonable Suspicion Testing

Reasonable suspicion testing needs to be carefully handled so as to preserve the privacy of the person undergoing testing and to ensure that the employer and referring DAMP Supervisor's obligations are met. AODS staff are appropriately trained to accurately and discreetly perform these tests.

Post Accident / Serious Incident

In the event of an accident or serious incident associated personnel must submit to an alcohol and other drugs test within 8 hours for alcohol and 32 hours for drugs. AODS can facilitate testing in accordance with your company policy in the unfortunate event that these tests are required.
